Little Elm Economic Development Corporation Receives Award of Excellence-2010
At the Statewide meeting of the Texas Economic Development Council a select few Texas Economic Development Corporations were awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Economic Excellence. Due to its success and hard work, the Little Elm Economic Development Council was awarded this select achievement.
To be selected the Corporation needed to achieve 100 points awarded for completion of important Open Meetings and Open Records training of the Council members and the Directors of the Economic Development Corporation. Also needed for the award was to have completed a strategic plan and annual action plans. Completion of successful economic development projects for the Town was essential including those that have brought new investment and new jobs to Little Elm. The recent Kroger Marketplace project played and important part in the selection.
